So after 10 years I have finally built my perfect "Dragon PC" gaming computer. When I saw the review on the Hyte Y70 PC case with the 682 by 2560 IPS touch screen display right on the front of the case itself I just had to have it, and it inspired me to build the new PC I have been meaning to do for a long time now. It had been 10 years now since my last PC build so I was due for a new one, and being able to put custom GIFs on the case panel and on the CPU cooler pump (my first liquid cooler build) really helped give it that dragon theme, and I could install widgets such as a clock, weather, CPU/GPU tempts, etc. right on the front of the case.
Unfortunately whether it is due to tariffs or chip shortages, video cards are insanely expensive right now and selling for well above retail price if you can even find them at all. I got the Radeon RX 7700 XT which wasn't quite what I wanted but it is still a decent card, and currently the weak link in my build which seems weird calling a $500 video card a "weak link".
I had originally ordered the Asus TUF B650-PLUS WIFI Motherboard from Newegg, which was a decent mid level gaming motherboard with WiFi 6 built in, and since it was "open box" I got a pretty decent discount on it. However some kind of mistake was made and when the motherboard arrived in a plain white box it was the wrong motherboard. Instead it was a Asus ROG STRIX X870E-E with built in WiFi 7 and over all a massive upgrade from the motherboard I had ordered retaining for about $500 and I only paid $140, so naturally I was very happy with the mistake.
Anyway here is the parts list:
